The interiors of the property have a great romance about them. They have been extraordinarily well looked after ever since the mid eighteenth century and are now a clever mix of antique furnishings, historic art and modern facilities. Boasting those famous Amalfi Coast views, Villa San Comagio is both a luxurious and authentic villa rental for up to 16 guests.

The main living floor, accessed from street level and the gardens is actually the second floor of the villa. From here all rooms access the gardens and superb extensive terraces that look over the village, beach and sea below. The kitchen, by no means off limits to the guests, despite there being a permanent and full time chef, is enormous and full of atmosphere. The same floor has a dining room and living room area where there is a computer and WiFi connection.

On the floor above are four lovely double bedrooms all with en suite bathrooms and air conditioning. On the floor below are a further four bedrooms with similar features, but these are also convertible into twin rooms. The bedrooms of the lower floor also have their own terraces. In total the terraces cover an area of over 300 square metres.

The gardens consist of over 1,000 square metres of citrus trees, bougainvillea and lawns with a pretty pool area all overlooking the village below.

If you are looking for views over the Mediterranean and one of Italy's prettiest fishing villages - you are in the perfect spot! The beach and all the restaurants and shops of the village are within walking distance and the staff are utterly charming.

Location

Set amidst a maze of atmospheric streets, in pretty gardens with citrus, almond and fig trees, perched above the beach, no property could be more representative of Positano and the broader Amalfi Coast. There are breath-taking sea views, magnificent terraces and the villa itself is steeped in Neapolitan tradition.

What strikes you most is that the whole property from top to bottom is so wonderfully well looked after. The spacious bedrooms and twelve guest bathrooms are immaculate and have embraced modernity with facilities that include air conditioning and WiFi. There's also an iPad available for guest use.
