Located between the lush vineyards of the wine estate of Domaine de Marie, Villa Grenache offers a private retreat among the rolling hills of Provence. This charming French villa has five bedrooms and can accommodate 10 adults and 2 children in complete privacy, whilst also providing use of the sister hotel, La Bastide de Marie.

The interior of the villa is a masterpiece of traditional Provencal décor, with warm, inviting spaces that exude charm and elegance. The living room is particularly captivating, featuring a cosy fireplace, exposed beams, carefully selected decorative objects and painted furniture sourced from the region. The slightly Bohemian atmosphere of the lounge invites you to lose yourself in a captivating book, while the TV area provides an intimate corner for entertainment. Indulge in your evening delicacies in the nearby dining area, where arched windows and old-fashioned ceilings contribute in creating a sophisticated atmosphere. Nearby, a fully-equipped kitchen will also cater to all your culinary needs.

The highlight of Villa Grenache is its outdoor living space, designed to offer both relaxation and entertainment. Here, an outdoor dining area, capable of seating up to twelve people, is perfect for enjoying alfresco meals, including delightful summer barbecues. For those seeking peaceful moments, you can relax in one of the many villa's outdoor lounge areas whilst savouring a glass of rosé Marie, produced here in the Domaine. Alternatively, enjoy a stroll among the property's colourful gardens, surrounded by the scent of lavender and blossoming flowers.

Within the villa's inner courtyard, guests will find the private heated pool. Away from prying eyes, this is a serene spot for sunbathing on comfortable deckchairs or lounging in the outdoor seating area to enjoy moments of tranquillity under the shade. The gentle song of cicadas accompanies your moments of relaxation, whether you're soaking up the sun or taking a refreshing dip in the pool.

Villa Grenache boasts five beautifully appointed en-suite bedrooms, each designed to offer the utmost comfort and privacy. The designs of each room are individual but each offer a harmonious classic country chic style, ensuring a sense of peace and calm. The Master bedroom is the grandest space with exposed stone walls, beamed ceiling and an elegant en-suite with roll top bath and separate shower. There are three further doubles, two of which feature a four-poster bed and the last room is an ideal twin bedroom for kids.

As the villa belongs to the Domaine de Marie Estate, guests have access to the neighbouring La Bastide de Marie hotel, allowing them to make use of the incredible Pure Altitude Spa with two outdoor pools and massage treatment space. On site, there is also La Table de Bastide restaurant, which guests are welcome to visit during their stay, as well as the Domaine's own vineyard and wine cellar.

For extra convenience, Villa Grenache also features air-conditioning throughout the villa. For self-driving guests, private parking is also provided.

Prices are based on the exclusive use of the villa for up to 8 adults and 2 children. The villa is offered with daily complimentary breakfast and afternoon tea, daily housekeeping service, complimentary wine tour of the Domaine de Marie and full use of the hotel facilities and Pure Altitude spa.

Location

Villa Grenache is found in a peaceful location in the heart of the Luberon region. Tucked away amongst the vineyards of the Domaine de Marie estate, this villa is the perfect base for enjoying a luxury country escape to Provence.

The villa is just 3 km away from Ménerbes, a picturesque traditional Provençal village offering a small handful of restaurants, local bakery, regular markets and small grocery store. Nearby, just 4 minutes drive away, the historic Saint-Hillare Abbey is a popular place to visit, whilst in the wider Luberon valley you can also visit the beautiful villages of Roussillon and Gordes around 20 minutes away. Discover the Luberon National park, walking or by bike and explore neighbouring vineyards, Provençal bories, mills and ochre quarries as well as quaint countryside.

Avignon and Aix-En Provence, both larger towns, sit 50 km away. Your nearest airport is in Avignon around 30-minutes by road. Alternatively, Marseille-Provence airport is around a 1 hour drive.

Working as closely as possible with seasonal and local produce, the chef creates simple recipes and creative combinations, giving his menu a light and fragrant accent. Enjoy breakfasts, lunch, apéritifs and afternoon tea or dinner in this beautiful and authentic restaurant or on the large sunny terrace. Mealtimes served 12.30-1.30 or 7.30-9.30pm.

A large garden farm supplies the hotel and spa with fresh home-grown produce infused into their menus and treatments. The garden includes lavender, olive trees, fruit trees and even 21 beehives for the production of the freshest and locally infused honey.
